Our Mission

The International Salsa Museum (ISM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, driven by an unwavering passion to preserve the vibrant and rich history of salsa music. Our mission is to honor and celebrate the cultural heritage of salsa, ensuring its legacy thrives for future generations.

We are committed to giving back to the salsa community through a diverse array of programming designed to educate, inspire, and engage. From educational workshops and live performances to cultural festivals and historical exhibits, our initiatives aim to foster a deep appreciation and understanding of salsa music’s profound impact.

To achieve this vision, we are seeking contributions and grants to support the acquisition and development of a state-of-the-art museum in the Bronx – “El Condado De La Salsa.” This museum will serve as a dynamic cultural hub, showcasing the rich tapestry of salsa’s history and its ongoing influence on the world. Your support will help us create a lasting legacy that honors the past, enriches the present, and inspires the future of salsa music. Together, we can ensure that the spirit of salsa continues to resonate and thrive within our community and beyond.
