Who We Are

The International Salsa Museum (ISM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization passionately dedicated to preserving the vibrant legacy of salsa music.

We are actively seeking contributions and grants to develop a world-class, state-of-the-art museum in the heart of the Bronx – “El Condado De La Salsa.”

What will Donations to ISM Support?

Your gifts will allow ISM to present the rich history of Salsa, Son, Mambo, Bomba, Pachanga, Guaguanco, Son Montuno, Tumbao, Rumba, and Latin Jazz music; and the artists, producers, engineers, and other notable figures that have influenced its development.

ISM will use donations to help curate a unique collection of core exhibits that will be “hands-on,” interactive, engaging, and fun.

In addition, your donations will directly support:

Music programs

Our comprehensive music program will offer students six years and older the opportunity to develop a clear understanding on Salsa music history along with music theory, production, band management, musical direction, composition, music business and other courses that will assist in their professional development.Taught by professionals in the music industry.

Dance programs

Our dance program will offer Salsa dance classes ranging from various styles ranging from On 2 – Colombian style. These classes will be taught by the best salsa dancers New York City has to offer.
