Our commitment
The International Salsa Museum (ISM) uses personal information to communicate with our community, operate museum activities, and support our nonprofit mission. We do not sell personal information.
Museum email updates
When you subscribe, we use your email address to send museum updates, including news, exhibitions, events, and ways to support the museum. Our signup forms are connected to Mailchimp, which processes subscription and email-delivery information. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or contact us at Info@IntlSalsaMuseum.org.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use the information you choose to share to respond and handle your request. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information by email.
Donations
Our donation forms are provided by Zeffy. Zeffy and its payment providers process your payment; ISM does not collect or store full payment card numbers on this website. We may receive donor contact information and donation records for receipts, administration, and required recordkeeping.
Embedded media and external links
This website includes media from YouTube, Spotify, and Facebook, and links to external exhibitions, news, and streaming services. These providers may receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, when their embedded content loads or you use their services. They may use cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies. Their policies also apply when you follow an external link.
Website operation and preferences
Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request times, and security events to operate the site and prevent abuse. The museum website also uses browser storage to remember preferences, such as language and whether you dismissed the email signup prompt.
Your choices and requests
You may ask us to correct or delete personal information you provided, or stop museum email updates, by contacting Info@IntlSalsaMuseum.org. We honor these requests, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements. A minimal unsubscribe record may be retained to avoid sending you further updates.
